A Love That Is For You

Julie and I send you our love. Today, I felt impressed to write to you first not about what God is doing through the ministry, but about what God is doing toward you. Before anything else, you must know this; you are deeply and personally loved by God.

The Lord spoke through the prophet in Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Notice that He says, “I have loved you.” Not “I will love you when you improve” or “I will love you when you get everything right”. It says, “I have loved you.” His love for you did not begin when you first turned toward Him, nor when you first obeyed Him, nor even when you began serving or supporting His work. His love has always been set upon you. Even now, the very hunger in your heart for Him, the desire to pray, to give, and to care about souls. This is not something produced on your own. It is evidence that His lovingkindness has been drawing you and rising in your heart.

The Lord also gives us a powerful assurance in Isaiah 54:9–10.“My steadfast love shall not depart from you, and My covenant of peace shall not be removed.” There are moments in life when circumstances shift, emotions fluctuate, and even our own consistency feels uncertain. But God wants you to know that His love toward you is not fragile. It does not come and go. It does not withdraw when you struggle. It is not shaken by your weakness. He compares it to the promise made after the flood. As if to say that He would sooner undo creation than remove His love from you. This means you do not have to live with a quiet fear in your heart that somehow you might lose Him. You do not have to relate to God through anxiety or performance. You can rest and draw near. You can come boldly again and again, knowing that His covenant of peace toward you remains unbroken.

Then Jesus brings this truth into even greater clarity in John 17:23, where He declares that the Father loved them “even as You loved Me.” This is almost too wonderful to fully grasp. The very same love that the Father has for His Son which is pure, unwavering, and full of delight. This is the love that He has toward you. Not a lesser love, not a distant love, but the same love. This means you are not merely accepted but you are welcomed. You are not barely included but you are deeply desired. You are not just tolerated but cherished. When this love is truly received, it begins to break the power of fear and shame. Fear loses its voice because love is no longer uncertain. Shame loses its grip because you realize you are fully seen and still fully loved.

As I pray for you, I sense the Lord wants and will encounter you while reading this letter. He is saying, “His love for you has not and will not change”. He is not pulling away from you but is drawing closer. Even as you read this, I encourage a momentary pause to simply receive that truth in your heart. I pray you could sense even the current of His deep love for you.

I also want to share a glimpse of what the Lord is doing. Last week, I was in Felton, California ministering to the congregation of Proclaim Jesus Ministries, during a series of revival meetings. God is truly pouring out His presence there, especially among the millennials and Gen Z. There is a sincerity, a hunger, and a bold love for Jesus that is deeply moving. One moment that especially impacted me, was seeing so many gathered in Pastors Joe and Rochelle’s living room for a 6am Monday morning prayer meeting. The room was full of young men and women pressing in, crying out to God, hungry not only for His presence but for souls to be saved. I left deeply encouraged, sensing that there is a genuine revival and spiritual awakening rising among these generations in our nation. God is moving in hearts that many had written off, raising up a people who love Him passionately and are unashamed of the gospel.

I am currently teaching a class on the love of God, here at Life Bible College in Boise, Idaho. It has been a joy to pour into these students and watch as the revelation of God’s love begins to take root in their hearts. Not just as doctrine, but as encounter. When people truly grasp how deeply they are loved, everything changes. Identity is strengthened, confidence rises, compassion deepens, and boldness to reach others increases.

We are so grateful for you. The prayers, partnership, and faithfulness are not only supporting the work but you are a part of what God is doing across generations and nations. But more than that, never forget that you are loved with an everlasting love, held in an unbreakable covenant, and embraced with the very love of the Father. May you encounter that love afresh today.

With deep gratitude and love,

Charley & Julie
